Point to the Cyberwoman

Episode 4 of Torchwood, saw the team discover that one of their own had been hiding a “Cyberwoman” in the basement and I’m starting to see the Doctor Who-like enthusiasm of the crew get reflected on screen, they’re all clearly having the time of their lives: picture the scene… “I know, I know, let’s have a cyberman fight with a pterodactyl!”.  The whole story felt like it could easily have translated to (or may had been translated from) the parent show but that didn’t detract from what was on offer which this week was a retelling of the base-under-siege storyline.  The characters continued to grow and John Barrowman just oozes screen presence that was emphasized even more this week by the claustrophobic atmosphere, and I’m intrigued to see how this can’t-be-killed background story of Captain Jack is going to develop.  The question at this stage has to be to ask… which of the shows is the best?  I am still leaning towards Doctor Who, but the gap is sure closing.
