Lost Is Found On Sky
Debuting on Murdoch’s $ky network, season three of Lost has begun on SkyOne with a Sunday night double-header of “A Tale Of Two Cities” and “The Glass Ballerina“. Picking up exactly where we left off, this is a mini-run of 6 episodes that will air before a winter break (and clashing with Torchwood… grrrr!). Following the move from CH4/E4 I was surprised and not a little irritated to find that we were still being “entertained” by the 118 men before and after every segment, but even that, and the perpetually annoying Digital On-screen Graphic (I know what channel I’m watching and I know it’s also available in HD… stop rubbing it in!!!!”) couldn’t detract from a couple of storming episodes that have really moved the plot forward. Back in the day I remember complaining that it had the impression of a show that was making it all up as it went along but thankfully this does not seem to be the case. Here we saw Henry (or Ben, or Benry as some have taken to referring to him) take on a much more prominent role as the leader of The Others. The season premiere concentrated on just the main three survivors, Jack, Kate and Sawyer and their latest predicament while the second part let us in on what the occupants of the sail boat were up to. I always enjoy the Sun and Jin flashback shows, their story is genuine and complex and could form a mini series in its own right. So much great development already and we haven’t even see Locke yet.
