Doctor Who Confidential

RTD to Leave, non-shock

Well the speculation probably started the day he got the job but the BBC has officially announced that Russell T Davies is stepping down from the helm of Doctor Who to be replaced by Stephen Moffat after the 2009 specials come to a close. So, the man who brought Doctor Who back to our screens has served his time to be replaced by the man who is widely acknowledged as bringing us the best episodes of the relaunched show… The Empty Child/Doctor Dances, The Girl in the Fireplace, Blink and Time Crash. I get the feeling that both the pro- and anti-RTD camps will both be happy with the news. The next time we see DW on our screens after the Eurovision break will be the much antipated Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead double parter by, guess who?… “SM” (I hope he has a middle name as three letter acronyms are much more rewarding). So, what do you all think of the news?
