Lost c

Mr Moriarty, I Presume

Lost returned for UK viewers last Sunday (to Sky One and HD) for the slightly delayed, post-Writer’s Strike second half of season four.  Life for Lost fans had certainly picked up after the much improved fourth series had began with a series of great episodes that were up with the best that the show had produced and that, in a very real sense, contained honest to goodness answers to some of those infamous and infuriating (more…)

Four new people on the Island… Five new episodes

The strike is over and all the US networks have all announced plans for how they intend to have the curtailed series of their favourite shows produced.  ABC were one of the last to get their proclaimations ready but they delivered the goods as series four of Lost seems to be getting another five doses of island shenanigans, making a respectable 13-episode season and means that only 3 have been, erm, lost.  Over at The Watcher (a great blog I only recently discovered) you can track (more…)

Lost Returns… and so do I

Well, it’s a been a while since I’ve been here blogging and I lay the blame solely at the door of my employer: extra hours and a stressfull project are not conducive to my leisurely tapping away at a keyboard of a evening.  Also, the thought of having a job that involves tapping away at a keyboard (albeit in an un-leisurely manner) all day, only to come home and spend my “free” time doing exactly the same thing would seem a little masochistic.  However, the intervening period since the last post has seen a dramatic (more…)

Lost3 Finale a

Wierdy, Beardy Goings On

“Through The Looking Glass” brought to an end the third series of Lost and we know that there are just three years left to run… half way through. In fact, that’s a bit of a fib because each of the next three series will consist of only 16 episodes each, so in effect we’re 69 episodes down with 48 to go and well over half way to finding out all the secrets of the Island and its inhabitants. I won’t even attempt to summarise where we are at the moment in terms of the storyline as there is simply way too much going on (a quick visit to (more…)

Lost Three Times

I think that a few episodes have passed since Lost last got a mention round these parts, so time for a quick catch up on the latest three.  In The Man From Tallahassee we saw a Locke flashback to another encounter with his conman father, Anthony Cooper.  This time he was attempting to marry into a rich family and Locke was out to stop him.  The encounter ended with a dramatic fall from the eighth floor of a high rise, the accident that caused John’s paralysis.  I’m not sure (more…)

Time Travel’s In My Blood

The last two weeks have illustrated, as well as anyone could have hoped for, the dichotomy of Lost and the reason why the show’s ardent fans as well as its detractors have both really got valid points. On the one hand we have “Flashes Before Your Eyes”, an episode focussing on the mysterious Desmond that further explores his ability to seemingly forsee future events. It’s starts off in a business as usual style, Hurley and Charlie have determined that they want to understand a little (more…)
