You know what?  It can be a real time consuming process when running this site to take the screencaps (in my lo-tech stylee) by taking a snap on my picture phone, saving it to memory, loading it onto my PC, filing it, uploading it to Flickr and then adding it into a Wordpress post for publication on this site.  I’m sure that there are quicker ways of doing it that a few hours on Google could help me locate and there are cretainly one or two that I’ve tried with varying degrees of success

It Looks Like We Might Have Made It

Another year gone and, while it may not be going strong, this old blog is, at least, still going and here is the first post of the year. It is a time for looking back, looking forward and making resolutions and so, I’ll start by looking back. 2007 began with some commitments that held me in good stead for a few months before succumbing to inevitable fatigue. Things have changed here on Walton’s Mountain.  A self-enforced exile while I recharged my creative batteries, which is just a euphamism for “being too busy with other stuff”, turned into a bit of a blogging nightmare.  Having reached my wit’s end with Yahoo! I am back home after my US vacation during which I watched no TV at all (other than occasional forays to the “Weather Channel” to check local forcasts)…. hence, I’ve had nowt to write about here.  Anyway, I still have a few reviews in the pipeline, such as Brothers and Sisters, Cape Wrath, Jeckyl, Studio 60, Top Gear: Polar Special and (assuming my DVD player is multi-region) I’ll also be reviewing Babylon 5: The Lost Tales on DVD, which I picked up on Region 1 while I was away.  I need to do a bit of virtual tidying up and updating links and so on but once accomplished normal, if not improved, service will be resumed (hopefully, very soon indeed).

Should Have Watched This Ages Ago 

Well, I’ve been a little slack at updating this site of late… I think it’s down to a combination of work (which is unusually busy) and the longer days of our glorious (ahem!) I’ve been on a short hiatus over the last week (forced upon me by work). However, rest assured (because I know you’ve been worried) that I will be back to blogging about the goggle-box very soon indeed. To whet the appetite, I have plans for a Heroes update, the conclusion of Battlestar Galactica’s third series, the build up to the end of Lost, the return of Hustle, a bit of Fry and Laurie (!), and of course some Doctor Who goodness.
