Continuing the hugely welcome trend for UK broadcasters to show US-imports very soon after their Stateside debuts, Fringe, while not exactly creating a storm of excitement has delivered some enjoyable, watchable sci-fi drama.  Being spoiler-free on these shows is a genuine pleasure and one which will be sorely missed if the January re-starts for Lost, Battlestar and 24 don’t follow suit. 4×11: “Turn Left”

In much the same way that Martha Jones’ arrival in Torchwood for three episodes heralded the begining of a trilogy of stories based on Owen Harper, we have now seen the hotly anticipated return of Rose in a story focussing heavily on the new companion, Donna.  Many will argue that this is all just and proper given the tour de force that Catherine Tate delivered in this, the 11th episode of Series Four. The Wildfire Team Talk The Talk

A week or so ago, the Other Viewer noticed that a two-part version of The Andromeda Strain had downloaded itself onto our Sky Anytime service. For those that don’t know, when you get a Sky HD box fitted, it comes with 2x 360Gb hard drives, one for you to record away to your heart’s content, the other to be used by some halfwits from SkyHQ who send you High Def television for viewing pleasure. 4×07: The Unicorn and the Wasp

Series four of Doctor Who reached is mid-point with last Saturday’s murder mystery featuring none other than Agatha Christie herself and, to be honest with you, I really didn’t know what to make of it.
