Whose Boat Is It Then?

The twenty first week of the year came up trumps for some top quality viewing, which was for the best considering the terrible weather we’ve been having that’s forcing everyone indoors. The eighth week of The Apprentice was a bit of a weak affair relative to the rest of the series but still managed some great “reality” moments with Jadine finally being fired. Guilty or Not Guilty

There was only one programme worthy of winning the highly sought Show of the Week award this time around.  The two-part series finale of Battletstar Galactica was a scorcher.  The conclusion of Gaius Baltar’s trial was handled brilliantly and a slightly unusual use of “All Along The Watchtower” led to the revealing of four of the five final Cylons.  However, Even that couldn’t prepare you for the conclusion.  A full, spoiler laden review will follow.  Elsewhere, Saturday night was notable

What Not To Cry Over

Today is Comic Relief day… the TV marathon usually comes over as a perfect case study in truly awful television but it becomes oddly watchable the more drink you consume. However, the clips of the less fortunate from home and abroad that are juxtaposed with the cringeworthy celeb scenes throughout the event, demonstrate the power of the medium perfectly and, on a personal level, almost all of these have the same emotional impact of Michael Buerk’s Ethiopian reports
