[Even though it's a couple of days late, here's my Doctor Who review for Journey's End.  I'll add the pictures to the review later on (which won't matter for those RSS readers among you) but which brightens up my blog no end.  Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts?]

Hello dear reader(s). • Does Primeval have a future?  Well, yes clearly it does as the widely reported renewal for a third series shows but is it a future with me watching it?  It’s kind of fun, looks quite good and Paul Cornell’s episode on Saturday showed that it’s capable of good things but there’s something in there that bugs me.  Interesting that there is a viewer’s competition to design a monster for next series… will they get another Absorbaloff?

Billie Don’t Be a Hero

The BBC has today confirmed that Billie Piper is returning to Doctor Who.  On behalf of Doctor Who fans everywhere, can I just ask… “What in the name of wibbly-wobbley, timey-wimey stuff is going on?”  As you can imagine, the internet dwellers (well, the folks over on the forum formerly known as Outpost Gallifrey at any rate) have gone into meltdown.  And for once, I am really unsure how to take the news.  Over the course of the last three years I have been fairly trusting in the decision (more…)

Where Did It All Go Right?

Much overdue but here, at last, are my considered thoughts on “Last of the Time Lords”, the final instalment of series three of Doctor Who. Even though it was loved and loathed in apparent equal measure within the picky world of fandom, the broadcast secured some very positive viewing figures that we all now seem to take for granted from these finales and fairly widespread acclaim.  Even the BBC invested a little extra in this televisual treat by commissioning an extra 8 minutes (more…)

Doctor Who Retrospective #10 of 10 “Bad Wolf / The Parting Of the Ways”

Okay, it’s weeks late but at last it is here (and incongruously lumped in the middle of the ongoing reviews of Series Three)! This is the final installment of my Series One Retrospective of the new Doctor Who.
