Up until now, throughout its first two years, Torchwood has met with a generaly positive response from the viewers, gaining enough momentum to make the move from BBC3 to BBC2 after a successfull first series and shortly to make another upgrade to BBC1. It seems to be especially successfull in the international markets like America and Australia who even seem to be a lot more upbeat about it than they are about the better known parent show. Point to the Cyberwoman

Episode 4 of Torchwood, saw the team discover that one of their own had been hiding a “Cyberwoman” in the basement and I’m starting to see the Doctor Who-like enthusiasm of the crew get reflected on screen, they’re all clearly having the time of their lives: picture the scene… “I know, I know, let’s have a cyberman fight with a pterodactyl!”.  The whole story felt like it could easily have translated to (or may had been translated from) the parent show but that didn’t detract from
