Retrospective Review #3 of 5

BBC4 have followed up their recent re-makes of the classic sci-fi shows, Quatermass Experiment and A For Andromeda, with a version of Random Quest (based on the John Wyndham story) with isn’t-he-like-his-dad, Samuel West in the lead role. I missed the chance to see both Samuel and Timothy perform together at the local theatre recently in “A Number”, which is a play about human cloning and, judging by his assured performance here, I say that with some regret. Saul Tigh And Uncle Albert, Seperated At Birth

Another week passes by and some good things were on offer to the common or garden couch-potato despite the fact that I had a couple of TV-free days. Waking the Dead continued strongly but is now going up against ITV’s remarkably similar sounding Trial and Retirbution, take your pick but I’m sticking with the former. I also had a chance to catch up with some older stuff from the Sky Planner and so have finally seen the end of The State Within (woo-hoo!). A couple of repeats
