Here’s To The Winners
Week 33 and we’re almost back in the land of normality after our break but it’s now time to fill in those much-missed Show of the Week awards. The last gong was figuratively handed out in Week 28 when Cape Wrath won but I still have all the 6 remaining episodes of that one left to watch… can anyone tell me if it will be worth it? So, moving on, in Week 29 I think that the nod will have to go to a timeshifted, one-off drama that had been begging to be watched for weeks before

Keep Smilin’

The awkwardly titled Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip began its first and only season on More4, its UK debut, just before the Other Viewer and I left for our annual vacation. When we returned on Monday night, we found our Sky+ planner with a meagre 7% free, so we sat down in our jet-lagged state to enjoy this new import and free up some much needed recording space. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is a drama series about the production of a fictional comedy variety show

Cape of Some Hope

I was struggling to arrive at a Show Of The Week (TM) for a while back there. Throughout week 28 I had been idly channel hopping and keeping up with the backlog on the Sky planner (Andrew Marr’s history of the Thatcher years was a bit of an eye opener… I really should have kept a closer eye on current affairs back then) but all the surfing was without any great sense of direction.
